10057 Third St & 2499 Rothesay

Project Details

We are pleased to introduce this Subdivision and Development Permit proposal to create 3 new residential lots for a total of 5 lots (one fee simple lot and 4 bare land strata lots). Each bare land strata lot is proposed to have a suited, single-family home, while the fee simple lot on Rothesay is proposed to house a duplex.

 

Our proposal embodies a commitment to environmental stewardship, placing enhancement of the foreshore habitat at the forefront of our design. Through careful infrastructure planning, we seek to maximize tree retention while integrating homes into existing landscapes to minimize ecological impact and promote biodiversity.

 

We are proposing a 15m setback from the foreshore to ensure this valuable natural resource is preserved. Significant tree retention and foreshore revegetation is proposed, including preservation of all Arbutus and Douglas Fir trees onsite.

 

Several smaller trees will be retained while the overgrown hedge, invasive species, and several non-native trees will be replaced with more appropriate, native landscaping.
